# V1 - V2 Migration

### V1 To V2 Staking Migration

Strike is moving staking rewards from the V1 staking flow into V2 liquid staking.

V2 liquid staking is designed to make $STRIKE more useful while still rewarding long-term stakers. After migrating, you can stake through Strike, use **single address mode**, and continue using your $STRIKE in supported DEX LPs or lending positions from the same staking wallet.

Users should migrate their stake to V2 immediately. The May 9, 2026 distribution will be skipped during the cooldown period, and V2 staking reward counting starts on May 15, 2026.

#### Important Dates

| Date               | What Happens                                                                                |

| **May 15, 2026**   | V2 reward counting begins                                                                   |
| After May 15, 2026 | Daily snapshots at **00:00:00 UTC** count toward future distributions                       |
| June 1st, 2026     | First distribution with liquid staking, distributing accumulated V1 and V2 staking rewards. |

#### What Changes In V2

V1 staking rewards are moving into the Strike V2 account flow.

In V2:

* Rewards are calculated using daily snapshots and TWAB
* Snapshots happen every day at **00:00:00 UTC**
* Rewards are deposited into your Strike account as **USDM**
* Rewards are released during each distribution period
* Rewards can be withdrawn from Strike as USDM
* Your $STRIKE can still be used in supported DEX LPs and lending positions

V1 platform rewards will be converted to USDM, deposited into Strike during each distribution period, and fully released.

#### Migration Steps

1. Go to [app.strikefinance.org/staking](https://app.strikefinance.org/staking)
2. Sign in with the wallet you use for staking
3. Make sure you are using **single address mode**
4. Click **Stake**
5. Keep your qualifying $STRIKE activity connected to that same wallet

After staking, you can use your $STRIKE in supported DeFi positions such as DEX LPs or lending markets.

#### Single Address Mode

Use **single address mode** when migrating to V2.

Single address mode makes it easier for Strike to track your staking wallet and the $STRIKE positions connected to it. This is important because V2 rewards depend on daily snapshots of the staking wallet and its supported DeFi positions.

#### Wallet Rule

Your staking wallet is the wallet that must remain connected to your qualifying $STRIKE.

You can:

* Stake from your wallet
* Use $STRIKE from that wallet in supported DEX LPs
* Use $STRIKE from that wallet in supported lending positions

You should not:

* Stake with one wallet and send $STRIKE to another wallet
* Split qualifying $STRIKE across wallets that are not connected to your staking setup
* Expect another wallet's $STRIKE to count for your staking wallet

V2 liquid staking is liquid, but it is wallet-based. The $STRIKE can move into supported DeFi positions, but it must remain associated with the staking wallet.

#### Why TWAB Matters

TWAB stands for time-weighted average balance.

TWAB prevents users from gaming the system by adding a large $STRIKE balance right before the distribution. Instead, rewards are based on how much qualifying $STRIKE was held over time across the full distribution period.

This makes rewards fairer for users who keep their $STRIKE staked or active in supported DeFi positions throughout the period.

* Click **Stake**
* Keep qualifying $STRIKE tied to the staking wallet
* Migrate before V2 reward counting starts on **May 15, 2026**
